Nick will conduct a detailed review of your business in a manner similar to a potential investor, finding out what you’re doing well, what has opportunity, and providing clear insights on specific things you should do to improve profitability.

WHAT WE DO: The service includes a review of your overall business strategy, operations, and finances. It examines your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats pertaining to your: long term strategy, position in the market, product/service offering, marketing & sales, organizational structure, and up to three years of financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow). Nick is also available to travel if necessary to properly understand your business.

OPTIONAL DEEP DIVES: Have a specific area of the company you want examined in even more detail? Nick can conduct a deep dive into one or more departments/divisions. This includes analysis and recommendations pertaining to specific personnel & teams, processes & procedures, KPIs & deliverables, key relationships & contracts (i.e., vendors, strategic partners, customers), and/or major projects & initiatives.

WHAT YOU GET: A straight-forward action plan highlighting specific findings and recommendations to improve your bottom line. Includes one month of follow-up support via e-mail to help you get started with actually making improvements in your business.

HOW LONG IT TAKES: Specific timelines will be discussed before commencing and depend upon the size and complexity of your organization, as well as your ability to provide access to the necessary data and personnel. Having said that, most reviews are completed within approximately 1 month.

WHO WE WORK WITH: This service is intended for established (36+ months) specialized B2C businesses with personnel such as direct-to-consumer brands, specialty retailers, and premium consumer service providers. Clients should have P&L responsibility for either the overall business or an operating unit. If that doesn’t describe your business, you can still benefit from Nick’s content by subscribing to Customers, Costs, and Cash Flow.

HOW MUCH IT COSTS: Most consultants aren’t even willing to estimate your investment without making you get on a call. In the interest of providing you with a great customer experience, Nick wants you to feel comfortable that we’re in the same ballpark before you reach out. Service starts in the mid four figures and increases based upon the complexity of your organization, optional Deep Dives, any necessary travel, or for extended support beyond one month.

VALUE: Results vary and are affected by multiple factors, many of which depend on you. Having said that, Nick’s goal is to always deliver clients value worth at least 10x their investment. If you don’t see the value, Nick will work with you to find a solution.

This is the highest tier relationship available and guarantees you ongoing access to Nick’s expertise and support.

As a long term thought partner to your leadership team, Nick helps you navigate your business’ issues and aspirations with objective guidance. In addition, the goal is to upskill your team over time. Unlike many traditional consulting models designed to keep you in the dark and dependent, Nick seeks to empower your team by explaining the why and the how.

WHAT WE DO / WHAT YOU GET: Think of Nick as your leadership team’s personal advisor. As any issues or aspirations come up, you can contact Nick for insight and advice. The service scope can range from highly-focused (like one function or department) to nearly all topics relevant to your business. Nick is glad to provide occasional hands-on implementation support at no additional fee, though substantial hands-on involvement that would ordinarily be project work will increase the price.

HOW LONG IT TAKES: The intent is to work together to improve your business over the long term, and generally an initial commitment of 6 months is required.

WHO WE WORK WITH: In order to ensure mutual fit, if you don’t already have a prior relationship with Nick then the Profitability Game Plan or Operational Project Support is required before signing up for this service.

CAPACITY LIMIT: To ensure quality of service, Nick only accepts a limited number of advisory clients. Please inquire for current availability.

HOW MUCH IT COSTS: Your investment depends on multiple factors like service scope, number of people Nick will be advising, your preferred communication channels, and requested average response time. Having said that, most client companies can expect a total monthly fee in the low four figures.
